Carey Brading (USPTA) has served as the Head Coach for Team Colorado 12's level since 1991, where Colorado's future stars begin their journey. Coach Brading has completed the USTA High Performance Coaching Program (Specialist in Competitive Player Development), and has completed course work in Sports Science Level 1 and II-A, II-B, II-C. In 2004 Coach Brading was named both the 2004 Rocky Mountain News and Colorado High Schools Coaches Association (CHSAA) Coach of the Year. The United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) also named him the 2004 Intermountain Boys High School Coach of the Year (Chatfield Senior High). He was also named the Jefferson County Schools All-Sports Coach of the Year. Coach Brading has served on the Team Colorado Selection Committee, the CTA Annual Awards Committee and as chairman of the USTA Intermountain Coaches Commission.
As a player he was the Junior Champion of New Zealand and captain of the New Zealand Linton Cup squad. Playing at the University of Southern Colorado he was a two-time All-American and Athlete of the Year. Coach Brading has also been the Colorado State Champion and #1 ranked player in Colorado. In addition to tennis duties, Carey is an avid west coast swing dancer, and biker, as well he loves the theatre and period movies.
